The Checkendon Newsletter is published at the beginning of each month and aims to give information and news about local people and the village organisations, such as Church, School, Parish Council and clubs, as well as details of forthcoming events, both within the parish and further afield. Occasionally it features longer articles by residents, but does not carry advertisements.
The Newsletter prints a Village Directory, updated annually and published with the September edition of the Newsletter, giving contact details of organisations and local services.
The Newsletter has been keeping villagers informed for over 50 years. It is produced and delivered locally by a team of volunteers. Individual copies may be purchased in the Checkendon Post Office Stores or obtained from the Church. Copies can also be sent by post or email.
